Students who were matched with a mentor were retained Fall-Spring at 1% higher than control group Students who reported at least one conversation were retained at 100%, this is 3.6% higher than the control group

DESCRIPTION

Simply offering the program increased Fall to Spring retention by 1.95%.

In real terms, this meant by offering our programs 3 additional students were saved, generating over $60,000.00 ROI for Olivet College.

Students who actively participated in the program were retained at 6% higher than the control group.

New undergraduate students matched with alumni or upperclassmen mentors

DESCRIPTION

The study this year showed students who were matched with a mentor persisted fall to spring at a 7% higher rate than the control participants. Additionally, the study showed that participating in program increased a students’ likelihood to persist fall to spring more than any other demographic factor, including GPA.
